Energy & Environment Saving Refrigerant Monitor

Saving Energy & the Environment by Reducing Refrigerant Loss From Leaks By

0%

Detect refrigerant loss before it impacts the environment and costs you money.

Our Mission

There is no other device on the market that comes close to accomplishing what we do.

Merlin Monitor offers a solution to unnecessary HVAC costs caused by refrigerant leaks. We are the most sensitive refrigerant loss monitor on the market. By using Merlin Monitor, you are not only saving money, you are saving energy, saving the environment, and emergency service calls.

Why Merlin Monitor?

Meet Green Initiative Goals and EPA Mandates

Merlin Monitor provides very early detection of loss of refrigerant resulting in less atmospheric contamination and a reduced carbon footprint.

Reduce Energy Costs

Merlin Monitor saves money by alerting you at the earliest sign of refrigerant loss before the unit begins to run longer to maintain temperature.

Reduce Refrigerant Loss and Costs

Merlin Monitor can detect refrigerant leaks earlier than any other monitor on the market, making it easier for you to take action before an unexpected disaster.

Reduce Emergency Service Calls

By using Merlin Monitor, you'll be able to turn an unplanned emergency into planned maintenance, reducing the need and expense of urgent service calls.

Is Merlin For You and Your Organization?

This versatile tool can be used in a variety of places, saving both commercial business owners and residential homeowners money.

Facilities Departments

Notified long before performance problems - Notification via BacNet, IoT, Email, and/or local alarms - Interval Health Reports via Email, Check in anytime via internet

Critical Environments

Scientific, Pharma, Biotech, Server Rooms, Commercial Refrigeration

Commercial AC

Large Equip = Large refrigerant charge = Large refrigerant loss - Alerted at 10% loss, not breakdown at 50% loss

Residential AC

Know ahead of time how your own home HVAC system is performing

Could This Be You?

Merlin Monitor is able to store data on your AC unit so you can stay on top of repairs.

About Us

Three Engineers who were told it was impossible.
Innovative dreamers who think outside the box.
Any engineer can do possible things.

Michael (HVAC Engineer - The Crazy One)

Mike is a 30 year veteran of the HVAC/R industry. He has a B.S. in HVAC Engineering Technology and is the patent holder of the Merlin Monitor. He is named on another patent and won a first place national design award for Best New Product of The Year (2017) for his New Product Development work while employed with an international HVAC manufacturer in the commercial refrigeration industry. His design career path has taken him from residential air conditioning system design, through the commercial equipment spectrum, and 9 years of designing FDA regulated critical environmental chambers for the pharmaceutical, biotech and institutional research market. He has a passion for teaching and has taught on and off (part time) at various technical schools in the HVAC trade.

Aliaxsei (Software Engineer - The Rebel)

Aliaxsei has over 25 years experience architecting and developing enterprise, instrument control and embedded software for a variety of industries including: semiconductor fab automation, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, robotics, life sciences, food packaging, medical devices, digital hardware modeling and verification. He also did consulting work for companies in consumer electronics, medical sectors and defense sectors. His Masters Degree is in Computer Science and Systems Engineering and is from his home country of Belarus.

Roy (Hardware Engineer - The Misfit)

Roy worked for a semiconductor automation company for over 20 years, where he designed a wide variety of robotic and monorail systems. He then started his own design and consulting company, where he designed and sold custom laser control systems for the food packaging industry. As well, he consulted on microscopic imaging systems, power supplies for commercial and military aircraft, and designed a control system for a 5 megawatt solar power plant, of which he is listed on a patent for his work there. He also worked for 10 years in a biomedical automation as lead principle EE. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Electronics.

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
